The Ayia Trias Basilica is located near the Karpazian village of Sipahi. From its erection in the early 6th century it lasted only into the 7th century, when it was destroyed in one of many Arab raids. It was recently rediscovered în 1957.

One Heraclios, Aetis, Euthalis and Eutychianos are named as benefactors for the curch's buiding, of which only rudementary elements remain, among them some splendid mosaicked floors.

Somewhat a mistery and a subject of speculation is the remarkable size of the church that seems exaggerated in relation to the extensions of its neighbouring village.
