Aphenderika
Aphendrika (Urania), near Dipkarpaz on the Karpaz peninsula, once was one the six major settlements of Hellenic Cyprus in the 3rd century BC. The still ongoing excavations have so far unearthed an ancient marina, hellenistic tombs, and a fotress of the late Greek period.

Of later days, parts of three churches remain: Ayios Georgios, a 10th century edifice, as well as Panagia Asomatos and Panagia Chrysiotissa, both originally from the 6th, and rebuilt in the 10th century.
