The city which is also known as the "Dark Hole", dates back to the Early Bronze Period.
After a difficult archological dig, only a small portion of the city has been unearthened.
The works have un-eartened 800 antiquitis made of gold, silver, bronze and ivory, six graves, aceramics shop and several houses. The first grave is thought to be of King Skuru, the mystery around whom has not yet been solved. Nevertheless, his grave is one of the richest ancient graves in Cyprus.
