Beneath Famagusta's Arsenal Bastion lies the tomb of Canbulat and the Cambulat museum. Cambulat, an Ottoman provinvcial governor, had played a key role in the capture of Nicosia, and was subsequently appointed to the army besieging Famagusta. He presumably was killed in action near the Arsenal Bastion where his tomb was then erected.
The small Cambulat Museum opened after the bastion's restoration 1968 and displays Venetian and Ottoman pottery, as well as Turkish costumes and arms.
